Dixie’s on Grand is a restaurant bar that has been established on Grand Avenue in St. Paul, MN since 1985. Subsequently it has been offering in their menu items like Jambalaya, Blackened Catfish, Seafood Gumbo and Key lime pie. And of course, it offers a nice place where to spend time with friends.

This place has a great affluence of people not only for the food and comfort, but also because it offers different kind of music and events trough the week. One of their principal events is on Friday’s night, when this place becomes a tropical zone. Yes, this place has a great night life surrounded by tropical rhythms.

What makes this place different from others?
The answer is that the music is play on live. Dixies has a band that performs from 10pm to 1:00am. and their music goes form Salsa to Bachata and Merengue. More and more enthusiasts are getting attracted to these rhythms. Important is to mention that you do not have to pay cover at the entrance, nice!  But reservations are recommended if you want to stay in the restaurant area.
Another detail is that there is not dress code, as long as you go relax and ready to get fun…it will be ok. Probably the only inconvenient is that the dance floor is not so big, but that is compensated with the great service and the nice, friendly and warm atmosphere.

It is important to keep on mind that Salsa night at Dixie’s on Grand has a Schedule. For more details check the schedule on http://www.dixiesongrand.com/calendar.php

If you do not know how to dance Salsa, or just do not have the time to attend dance classes, never is late to learn. There are on-line sources that can help you out and go to the basic steps for beginners.
