Happy B-Day MR. President

That was the famous phrase that Marilyn Monroe sang in 1962 to John F. Kennedy on his birthday. Even more that song made her complete unforgettable.

The case is that today is not 1962 neither JF Kennedy’s birthday, but it is 2011 and it was President Obama’s birthday.

While a lot of Americans consider that there are not much reasons to celebrate of congratulate Mr. Obama in his birthday, there are some who are optimistic and keep hope in him.

In some kind of bubble out of the reality and in the middle of the worst US crisis of the 21 century, Obama celebrated his 50th birthday in plenty calm in a private dinner in the White house with the company of his family and friends. The party was pay with Obama’s money and nothing came from public funds.

Far are those days when in January of 2009, Barack Obama was celebrated as the first black president of the world superpower.  Now in 2011, the full, charismatic and young man of promises, in whom his country placed "the hope” and reinforced Obama’s quote of “Yes we can," is becoming less popular among his fellow Americans.

Obama is busier than before, with an agenda that covers the economic crisis and the unfinished business with his broken promises made during the elections, it looks like he had much to do in order to establish trust in the US people.

The politifac.com, an independent publication from  St. Petersburg Times, in the South of Florida and winner of the 2009 Pulitzer, Keep track in his Obameter all the 500 promises made by Obama.

Even so, he still receives birthday gifts like this one from Carlos Arango, president of the United Front of Immigrants, who said “he only came here to receive large contributions for his campaign as gift, but we want to tell him that he broke his promises to promote an immigration reform, now he cannot expect our vote for his 2012 reelection. That it is our birthday’s gift."

Happy B-Day Mr. President!!
have a good one.!!
